Cable Storage Equipment

The safe storage of subsea power cables, both onshore and offshore, requires reliable systems that meet strict cable specifications. Modern medium- and high-voltage cables must be handled within precise parameters such as minimum bending radius, tension and load to prevent damage.

Two main storage principles are used: rotating turntables (carousels), where the cable is spooled, and static coils, where the cable remains stationary. The choice depends on the cable type and application, with turntables often providing a more advanced and controlled solution.

With decades of experience, Hulst Innovation Cable Equipment (HICE) develops modular and efficient storage systems designed for transport and handling worldwide.

MOST (Modular Onshore Storage Turntable)
A flexible, modular system that can be transported globally by road or sea and quickly assembled on site. Its hydraulic lifting system ensures even load distribution while reducing transport costs, installation time and lifting requirements.

MOT (Modular Offshore Turntable)
Specifically designed for offshore use on transport and installation vessels. Built to withstand dynamic forces from waves and vessel movements, the system is safe, easy to install, low-maintenance and certified according to DNV offshore standards.
